Shizunai is renowned for its 7 km long Sakura blossom road adorned with 3,000 cherry blossom trees. It’s designated as one of Japan’s top 100 scenic roads and top 100 Sakura viewing spots. The Sakura festival begins in early May, with this year’s 2015 festival starting on May 2nd and concluding on May 10th.
