Ryugu Shrine is located in Inaho, west of Otaru Station, just a 10-minute walk away. Originally built in 1869 by Buyo Enomoto to ensure the peace of Hokkaido, the current shrine was established here in 1896, with the present building completed in 1941. The main building (Honden) is designed in the ‘Shinmei-zukuri’ (神明造) style, while the worship hall (Haiden) is built in the ‘Kiritsuma-zukuri’ (切妻造) style.
